How Our Network Works

Talk to a local provider

Who You Talk To

You talk to an independent roofing provider in our network. That is a local business with its own crews, its own insurance, and its own schedule. Feltbroken Roofing does not do the roofing. It makes the introduction and steps aside.

What Happens on the First Call

Expect a short, practical chat. Here is the usual order:

1. The provider asks what you have noticed: a leak, missing shingles, hail marks, or an aging roof. 2. Next, they ask about the home, such as its age, its roof shape, and any layers already on it. 3. Then they suggest a time to inspect the roof. 4. After the inspection, a written quote should follow.

If the roof is leaking right now, say so first. Providers can talk through short-term steps, and many can respond quickly. Timing depends on the provider and the weather.

What to Ask Before You Hire

Keep this list handy:

  • Are you licensed and insured for work in this state? Can I see proof?
  • Is the quote written, with materials and labor listed?
  • Will you remove the old roofing, or add a new layer over it?
  • How do you handle rotted decking if you find it?
  • What is the plan for protecting landscaping and cleaning up?
  • Can you help document hail or storm damage for a claim?
  • Who handles warranty questions on materials and on workmanship?

Write down the answers. Compare them across providers, not just the price.

You Are in Control

Talking to a provider does not commit you to anything. You can ask questions, request a written quote, and say no. Take your time with the paperwork. A calm decision usually beats a rushed one. First, stay safe. Next, document it with photos. Then choose the provider whose answers made the most sense.
